About Us

The Beginning

My name is Luno, I’m 33 years old, born and raised in Amsterdam.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had one clear goal: to build something of my own.
Not because I wanted fame or attention — but because I was obsessed with the idea of creating something real, something that could grow beyond me.

I’ve always had that entrepreneurial drive. Even in school, when most of my friends were focused on grades and weekend plans, I was focused on business.
While others were spending money, I was trying to make it.

It all started with football shirts.
I was a huge football fan growing up, especially of the clubs in Manchester — United and City. Their energy, their rivalry, that culture of passion and identity — it fascinated me.
So I began importing and reselling football shirts to friends at school. It was supposed to be a small joke. Something fun. But it quickly turned into something more.

People started asking for specific shirts. I started building small pages online. I designed my first website by myself, not because I knew how — but because I had to learn. That’s when it hit me:

This isn’t just a side thing anymore. This could be real.

Turning a Joke into a Brand

When I built my first website, I felt something I’d never felt before — control.
It was raw, chaotic, and full of mistakes, but it was mine.
That same night, I remember thinking: if I can sell shirts, why can’t I create my own?

I dropped out of school soon after. Not because I hated it, but because I knew what I wanted. I didn’t want to spend my best years studying theories — I wanted to build something tangible.

I started sketching ideas, researching fabrics, and studying how the world’s biggest brands worked.
But more importantly, I studied people — how they dressed, what they felt confident in, and what made a simple outfit look powerful.

That’s when LUNO Manchester was born.

Why Manchester

People often ask why a guy from Amsterdam named his brand after a city in England.
The answer is simple: Manchester inspired me.

Those old football shirts I used to sell weren’t just clothes — they represented passion, identity, and culture. Manchester taught me that style isn’t just about what you wear, but about what it says about you.

When I started creating clothes, I wanted to capture that same energy — something rooted in everyday life, yet powerful in its simplicity.

LUNO Manchester became my way of combining Dutch creativity with that raw, confident British attitude.
A blend of calm and chaos. Structure and spirit.

Building Something Real

The early days were anything but glamorous.
I worked from my bedroom, surrounded by boxes, fabrics, and endless tabs open on my laptop.
I designed, packed, photographed, shipped — everything by myself.

Every sale felt personal.
When someone placed an order, I knew their name. I’d double-check every detail. Because for me, it wasn’t about selling clothes — it was about building trust.

Over time, something started happening.
People didn’t just buy because of the product. They bought because they connected with the feeling behind it.
The simplicity. The calm. The quiet confidence.

And that’s what LUNO Manchester became known for —
Premium casual clothing. Clean, timeless, and effortless.

The Philosophy

At LUNO Manchester, we believe in simplicity done well.
There’s power in subtlety — in getting every detail right without shouting about it.

Our pieces aren’t made to stand out in a loud way.
They’re made to fit effortlessly into your life — to make you feel like the best version of yourself without needing to try too hard.

We focus on:

  • Premium fabrics that last.

  • Timeless silhouettes that never fade out of style.

  • Neutral tones and perfect fits that adapt to any moment.

It’s not about following trends.
It’s about building a wardrobe that defines you — quietly, confidently, and authentically.

Growing Beyond the Start

What began as a small online idea quickly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
From a few local orders to thousands of customers across Europe, the growth has been surreal.

There were nights I didn’t sleep — packaging orders until sunrise, learning logistics, dealing with suppliers.
No investors, no big team. Just passion, persistence, and an obsession with improvement.

Today, LUNO Manchester stands as one of the fastest-growing premium-casual brands in the scene.
But no matter how big we get, the roots stay the same: quality over quantity, connection over perfection.

The Community

One of the things I’m most proud of is the community that’s formed around this brand.
LUNO isn’t just me anymore — it’s thousands of people who share the same taste, the same mindset, the same desire for more.

We’re not defined by status or labels.
We’re defined by the way we carry ourselves — calm, confident, focused.

Every message from a customer wearing our clothes somewhere new — whether it’s Amsterdam, Manchester, Paris, or Milan — reminds me why I started this.

It’s not about being a brand people buy from.
It’s about being a brand people belong to.

Learning Everything Myself

I never studied business.
I never went to fashion school.
Everything I know, I learned by doing — failing, trying again, improving.

That’s something I’ll always be proud of. Because it proves that you don’t need to wait for permission to build something great.

When I look back, I don’t see luck — I see persistence.
Every mistake became a lesson. Every setback became a story.
And every success came from one simple belief:

If you want something badly enough, you figure it out.

The Future

The journey is far from over.
Right now, we’re growing fast — new collections, new drops, new ideas.
But the vision is bigger than that.

I want LUNO Manchester to become a global name — not just an online brand, but a physical experience.
Stores in cities around the world: Amsterdam, London, Paris, Milan, maybe even back where it all started — Manchester.

A space where people can see, feel, and connect with what we’ve built.

But no matter how far we go, I’ll never forget how it started — one guy, a laptop, and a box of football shirts.

Because the truth is:
That same energy — that curiosity, that hunger — still drives everything we do today.

Final Words

If there’s one thing I’ve learned through all of this, it’s that the best ideas often start as jokes.
You never know what can happen when you take something small and give it everything you’ve got.

I built LUNO Manchester because I wanted to wear something that felt real.
Now, I build it for everyone who feels the same.

This brand isn’t just my story — it’s ours.
And this is only the beginning.
