Our Story
Luno Manchester started with a simple idea: clothing should feel effortless.
The brand was founded by Charlotte Bennett and Amelia Hart, two long-time friends who share a love for timeless fashion and comfortable everyday style. Together they have more than 20 years of experience working in the fashion industry, mainly in boutique retail, styling, and fashion buying.
Over the years they noticed something interesting while helping customers choose clothing. Most people weren't looking for complicated or overly trendy pieces — they simply wanted clothes that felt comfortable, flattering, and easy to wear in everyday life.
During a visit to Manchester, a city known worldwide for its textile history and strong connection to fashion, the idea for Luno Manchester slowly began to take shape.
Inspired by the city's heritage and creative energy, Charlotte and Amelia began discussing the idea of creating their own brand — one focused on timeless style, comfort, and clothing people genuinely enjoy wearing.
What started as a simple idea between two friends eventually became Luno Manchester.

The name Luno is inspired by the word Luna, meaning moon.
Charlotte and Amelia loved the symbolism behind it. The moon represents calm confidence, subtle elegance, and quiet strength — qualities they believe clothing should help bring out in people.
The addition of Manchester reflects the city that inspired the brand. Historically known as one of the world's most important textile cities, Manchester has always been a place where fashion, craftsmanship, and creativity come together.
Together, the name Luno Manchester represents a blend of heritage, simplicity, and modern style.

Amelia Hart
Co-Founder
